Uganda

From Mike Gerard

Dear High5Give5,

We can’t thank you enough for your continued support to King’s Bridge International throughout this very difficult year. Due to the global pandemic, our usual overseas mission trips have been halted, but of course the basic needs of the poor we serve, continue on.

As the world’s resources become more scarce, your giving is a sign of God’s love and provision to those who need it most.

Thankfully, covid-19 infections in Uganda remain relatively low, and haven’t reached the remote areas we serve, like the Children’s Orphanage in Wakiso, which feeds up to 150 children a day. You have made it possible for us to fill the food storehouse with staple foods, such as beans, rice and posho, as well occasional special “meat” meals for holidays. As travel restrictions to Uganda (currently all but closed) lighten up, we are planning to resume our evangelistic mission trips by early summer of 2021. Our mission remains reaching out to the poor, and spreading the life- changing message of Salvation through Jesus Christ.

In the midst of these troubling times, I believe that very soon we will have an unprecedented window of opportunity to spread the gospel as never before.

Jesus said, “Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” (John 4:35)

We are praying for wisdom and vigilance in this exciting and crucial hour. Thank you again for your kind and generous support.

In Christ,

Mike Gerard
