From Medellin

This month, the children and families attending the feeding programs learned about the Israelites in the desert. We focused on trusting God's provision, protection, and the 10 commandments. Approximately 150kids and parents were fed weekly. We have had missionary teams from Germany and the US with us this month.

They have helped us pick up the kids in the morning, sing and dance during praise and worship, and teach lessons in new and exciting ways. Also, they have been visiting the Venezuela tenement homes in our area, sharing the gospel through movies, dramas, and testimonies. We handed out school supplies kits to the kids who started school this month and were in need. The kits included backpacks, notebooks, and writing materials. Many kids are not enrolled in school, so we will start encouraging them to come to the City of Refuge during the week to spend time with them and help them continue learning at home.

Also, we gave grocery store gift cards to 10 families who have been faithful in attending the feeding program and whose children have shown an interest in learning about the Lord. The families attended church service, and after, we spent time with them. We spoke about the importance of relying on God for all our needs (not only financial) and encouraging them to continue being faithful.Thank you for your support and prayersbeginning this New Year.
